We are one of the fourteen Parish/Town Councils within Rochford District and are here to serve the Community. Residents can keep up to date with meetings, news, events and other information. The village of Hullbridge is tucked away in the north west corner of the District and is home to 7,300 residents. It is surrounded by green belt on three sides and the River Crouch on the northern boundary. Wi

th over two miles of river frontage the parish is well used by the local boating fraternity, with hundreds of moorings and three yacht clubs. Hullbridge contains a network of well-maintained footpaths, which meander through the surrounding farmland and a nature reserve. Along the river bank there are remains of evaporation pans where salt was made in medieval times.

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for access to Freegal music. I love it. I more than love it, I actually depend on it. I listen to it when I'm studying, when I’m working, and when I’m trying to de-stress, and it’s just invaluable. It’s a brilliant service and whatever you’re paying for it is more than worth it." - Harlow customer 🎵

Healthwatch Essex has an exciting volunteering opportunity for children and young people with lived experience of mental health to get involved in! The Young Mental Health Ambassador programme is for young people who have the lived experience of mental health, feel passionately about children and young people’s mental health and would like to make a positive difference.

Their experiences are key to shaping the future of mental health and wellbeing services in Essex. Young people's mental health is hugely important and young people can help to change local services for the better. If you know a child or young person up to the age of 23 (or up to 25 if they have special educational needs and disabilities), please do pass on information about this opportunity.

They can be involved in many different ways including creating videos, online blogs and responding to other digital tasks, sharing their experiences, views and opinions to help Commissioners improve and develop local mental health services and attend Young Mental Health Ambassador meet ups and build their networks.

If you would like to find out more about this great opportunity, please contact our Engagement Officer, Renee Robey, on: [email protected]
