Foraging Walk
Saturday 12th September, 10.30am - 2pm

After the great success of our last Foraging Walk, we decided to add a new date

In this workshop we’ll explore the local edible wild plants (and fungi) that are in season, learning how to identify them, and ways to use them in the kitchen. With these characters as you could call them, we’ll build up a picture of the natural world around us to give you a base from which to start your foraging journey.

Enjoy wild tasters and get hands-on helping to make a mighty wild green smoothie. A fun, multi-sensory way to bring the world of wild food to life.

For all ages but kids need accompanying.
Minimum age for kids is 12.

Please ensure you wear comfortable footwear and suitable outdoor clothing to prepare for the unpredictable weather conditions.

Spotlight on...International Dog Day

Do you know about Rip the dog? Or to give him his full title - Master Rip Bowles!

Rip lived at Forty Hall in the early 1900's and was family pet to the Bowles family.

Rip has now taken on the role of Forty Hall mascot, and frontlines a few trails which are designed to engage children with the house and grounds at Forty Hall.

The cartoon version of Rip also has his own children's storybook - written for us by Blossom Carrasco. ‘I’m Not Scared’ is set in beautiful Forty Hall, with it’s a lively story written in rhyme about Rip the dog and a band of naughty ladybirds!

'I'm Not Scared' is available to buy in the Forty Hall Gift Shop, or on the webshop - https://forty-hall-estate-gift-shop.myshopify.com/ along with a Rip the dog colouring book, a magnetic bookmark, frisbee and a cute pin badge!
