People living with ME and Long Covid told MSPs they often gave up visiting their GP.

The Health Committee heard that often doctors couldn’t offer any treatment or didn’t fully understand their conditions.

MSPs were taking a look at the challenges facing people in Scotland who live with long-term, chronic illness as they get to grips with issues in the health system.

Health bosses, doctors, dentists, speech therapists and unions were also among those speaking to the committee at its first meeting back after summer.

Oysters clean our waters and can help to restore entire ecosystems - but they're at risk in Scotland.

MSPs from the Rural Affairs Committee spoke to local people working in land reform, crofting, and native oyster restoration in their recent visit to Lochaline in the Highlands.

They met with groups including Ardtornish, Morvern Community Woodlands and Morvern Community Development Company - local groups who are working to improve their community.
