Eastbourne Pavement Safety This page is dedicated to tackling the issue of unsafe pavements in Eastbourne. But still the problem remains.

There has been a pressure group which for three years has been trying to campaign for safer pavements.

This page was set up by Lucette Davies who realised the scale of the problem when canvassing for the local elections in Hampden Park. It has the backing of the Eastbourne branch of East Sussex Save the NHS Campaign. The page was set up to encourage the County Council to take action on Eastbourne's unsafe pavements. Eastbourne has the highest number of pavement falls requiring hospitalisation in the South-East. I have emailed East Sussex County Council but had no reply. I hope people will use this page to share photos and anecdotal evidence of how unsafe our pavements are. Perhaps if we collect a large amount of evidence we will be able to pressure the County Council into taking action.
