As temperatures have risen over recent weeks, we’ve seen a significant increase in outdoor fires and have responded to a wide range of incidents, supporting people both within our local community and across Bedfordshire, including assisting at cross-border incidents with neighbouring fire and rescue services.
While we’re proud to serve our communities whenever we’re needed, the reality is that we’ve also had to miss attending some incidents in our local area because we simply haven’t had enough firefighters available to crew one of our fire engines.
This is where you could make a real difference.
We’re looking for people who want to give back to their community, develop valuable new skills, work as part of a dedicated and supportive team, and earn a wage in one of the most rewarding roles there is.
