During , we’re celebrating Young Carers like Molly and the difference that a little support can make.
When Molly received funding from the Time 2 Be Fund, it was used to pay for a term at her local musical theatre group. What began as a short-term opportunity soon became something much bigger. Molly loved it so much that she has continued attending ever since and she is absolutely thriving.
The confidence, skills and friendships she has gained have been remarkable. One of her proudest moments was being cast as Chip in a production of Beauty and the Beast at Eden Court Theatre. Most recently, she took on the role of Toto in a production of The Wizard of Oz, another exciting milestone in her theatre journey. Along the way, she has built a wonderful circle of friends and found a place where she can truly be herself.
For Molly’s family, this is exactly what this kind of funding is all about. A small investment opened the door to lasting opportunities, new experiences, and a sense of belonging that continues to grow.
Molly is also an incredible sister to Frankie. Whether she is helping her family with day-to-day challenges or simply showing kindness and care from the heart, she gives so much to those around her. As a Young Carer, she often puts others first, which makes it all the more important that she has opportunities that are just for her.
Seeing Molly flourish through this support has been a joy. Her story is a reminder that when Young Carers are given the chance to pursue their passions, the impact can be life-changing, not only for them, but for the families they support every day.
