Waingroves Community Woodland Trust The Waingroves Community Woodland Trust was established to promote for the benefit of the public, the Charitable Community Woodland Trust.

The Community of Waingroves Derbyshire own 12.75 acres of woodland and this is managed by the Trust members and used as a safe habitat for wildlife and flora. Visitors are welcome to use the woodland responsably, disposing of litter and dog waste appropriately.

Yesterday evening we had a report that a young Lad had been seen starting a fire close to the woodland glade, thankfully a member of the public saw this and made him stamp it out, even though we have recently had rain the woodland and surrounding fields are still tinder dry and the risk of wildfires is high! This incident has been reported to the police and we ask that anyone who sees anything suspicious reports it to us and the authorities.
