A Harris hawk had to be rescued by fire fighters after it became caught in an aerial on the roof of a house

Darwen Fire & Ambulance Station turned out to a Bird of Prey caught up on an aerial. Rescued last night and has now been handed over to a professional Falconer.(11 year old female Harris Hawk).

Not just fires folks.This incident was at the river connecting Entwistle Reservoir and Wayoh Reservoir.It was a Joint rescue of this adventurous doberman called Arlo. Cews from Darwen, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (Official) and Ramsbottom, Greater Manchester Fire service. Helped reunite Arlo with Mum.

What a great day at Darwen Fire & Ambulance Station. Thank you to everyone that turned up and got your car or van washed. Nearly £700 was raised in 3 hours for the Firefighters Charity. AMAZING. A huge thank you to all past and present Cadets that helped out, a fantastic effort by you all. Oh and the on duty crew and on call did some work🤣. Special Thanks to Dan for the breakfast also Karen for the Biriyani it was delicious. Well done everyone👋👋👋👋👋
