Hello Everyone 👋

Let me introduce myself. My name is Darren and I am a qualified Social Worker of 12 years who has worked in the adult social care sector across County Durham and the North East.

I’ve assessed complex needs, coordinated care plans, managed safeguarding concerns, supported hospital discharges, worked with people in crisis, and seen the huge difference compassionate, knowledgeable staff can make to someone’s wellbeing and quality of life.

That frontline experience is exactly why I’m building this recruitment service differently.
My aim is not simply to recruit staff quickly, it is to recruit staff responsibly.

So that’s why I’m launching a new relationship-focused care recruitment service offering a more local, personal, face-to-face approach and not just a generic voice over the phone.

The Adult Social Care Survey in England found that 27.7% of people receiving care say they do not have enough choice over the care and support they receive - thats over a quarter of the people receiving care... madness!

Choice is a key part of person-centred care. People should feel involved in decisions about:

• Who supports them
• When their care takes place
• How their needs are met

Everyone deserves to feel heard, respected and in control of their own care and support.

Around 14,000 patient safety incidents every year are linked to hospital discharge or transfers of care.

Even more concerning, around 10,000 of these incidents happen when people are discharged from acute hospitals.
