We've recently noticed an increase in dog fouling around the village.

Please help keep North Dalton clean and enjoyable for everyone by always cleaning up after your dog when you're out walking

❤️ Could You Save a Life? ❤️

North Dalton Parish Council is pleased to invite residents to a FREE CPR & AED Training Evening, organised by one of our Parish Councillors to help make our community safer.
This friendly, hands-on session will teach you the vital skills needed to perform CPR and use a defibrillator (AED). No previous experience is needed – just a willingness to learn something that could one day save a life.

✅ FREE to attend
👥 Maximum of 20 places available (booking essential)

🚓 Police Surgery – North Dalton Village Hall 🚓

Residents are invited to attend a Police Surgery at North Dalton Village Hall on Saturday 20th June 2026 between 12:00pm and 2:00pm.

This is an opportunity to meet local police officers, discuss any concerns you may have, raise community issues, and receive crime prevention advice.

Hull and East Yorkshire Local Nature Partnership (HEY LNP) would like to share some information which may be of interest to residents in the area, particularly those involved in farming or land management.

The Sustainable Farming Incentive 2026 (SFI26) is a UK Government scheme designed to support farmers in managing their land in a more sustainable way. It offers financial incentives for a range of environmentally beneficial practices, including improving soil health, protecting water quality, and contributing to nature recovery.

The scheme provides a choice of actions, allowing farmers to select options that best suit their land and business while supporting both environmental outcomes and food production.
Applications for SFI26 will open in two phases:

Window 1: June 2026
Window 2: September 2026

To be eligible, applicants must have at least 3 hectares of agricultural land.

To support farmers thinking of applying for the Sustainable Farming Incentive, the HEY LNP have produced a resource aligning the Priorities and Measures (actions) of the Hull and East Yorkshire Local Nature Recovery Strategy (HEY LNRS) with SFI26 actions which could contribute to their delivery.

Following the Annual Parish Council Meeting for North Dalton Parish Council, Councillor Rupert Harrison was elected to remain as Chair of the Council, with Councillor Stepheny Palmer elected as Vice Chair for the forthcoming year.

Congratulations to both, and thank you to all councillors for their continued service to the parish community.
