Valence House

Valence House Valence House is a Grade II* listed moated Medieval manor house surrounded by tranquil green spaces. Admission free. It is still partially surrounded by a moat.

It has a Museum, Archives, Tearoom and Garden. The only surviving manor house in Dagenham, Valence House was first recorded in a property deed in 1269. Exciting new galleries tell the story of Barking and Dagenham and its people throughout the ages. The Archives and Local Studies Centre has relocated to the new Visitor Centre. While drifting past the Football exhibition, the B.A.D. Fairy had a sudden revelation: Everyone should attend Unseen University and join the football club.
Why, you ask?

Because wizard football is far more dramatic. It involves questionable rules, palpable explosions, accidental transformations, and the occasional haphazard death. Naturally, she approves. It’s her style of football 💅

With a flick of her fingers — the kind that usually causes minor earthquakes — 200 copies of Unseen Academicals appeared in the Visitor Centre. She says she brought them “for fun,” because this is how immortal and slightly immoral beings pass the time🧚

She invites you (or dares you) to take one 😈
She thinks you’ll enjoy the chaos.
She thinks you’ll enjoy the magic.
She thinks you’ll enjoy imagining football played by people who can accidentally summon demons.
