Time served and fully qualified, David Lamb specialises as a Cathedral Stonemason as well as working on historic buildings and monuments. Established in 1999, David Lamb has applied his skills in Conservation, Restoration and New Build work around the globe. In his role as a Stonemason David Lamb undertakes Fixing & Banker Work, Setting Out & Stone Carving, Commissions & Bespoke Work and predominantly works on National contracts. David Lamb is a Yeoman of the Worshipful Company of Masons.

So this works trip project is the Clock Tower in Freetown Sierra Leone.
The Clock Tower was radically changed with the addition of white bathroom tiles to it's exterior diminishing it's heritage look and damaging the fabric.
Phase 1 is to identify a careful system of works to safely remove the tiles and cement adhesive without damaging the original stonework.
After 2 days good progress has been made and the training of local trainees and professionals to carry on these works when I depart is going strong.
