Grounds Maintenance Operatives
Immediate Start
Full Time - £10.50 for non-drivers and £11.00 for drivers
Part of the Churchill Group, Chequers Contract Services Ltd is a multi award winning service provider of School, Office and Commercial Cleaning and Grounds Maintenance, Landscaping and Arboriculture services to many distinguished clients across Greater London and the South of England.
We are searching for Grounds Maintenance Operatives based in the North/East London area but covering work around Central, West, North and East London. As Grounds Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for providing a regular and professional service across a selection of contract. Do you drive? Do you have ground maintenance experience? Have you worked with machinery such as movers , hedge cutters and strimmer’s?

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for:
Strimming and edging of all grassed areas in preparation for cutting with a pedestrian or ride on lawn mower
Cutting of all grassed areas (dependent on time of year) and removal of all cuttings from site
Turning and edging in of all boarders to include the removal of all weeds and dead shrubs
Cutting back of all shrubs (dependant on time of year and if in flower) and hedges and removal of all cuttings from site
All pathways, driveways and any other hard standings are swept/blown clean and are clear from all moss and algae
All bin areas are swept clean and disinfected and a full litter pick is carried out across each site
To assist in carrying out any additional tasks within the Grounds depot as required.
Ensure all completed job cards, before and after photos, and any other paperwork are submitted to your Team Leader or Supervisor.
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will have the following expertise and attributes:
Previous grounds/landscaping experience
Full, clean driving license
Machinery experience required – mowers, hedge cutters and strimmers
Trailer license, ride on mower experience an advantage
