One of the biggest questions prospective foster carers ask is: "How will fostering affect my children?"

Children of foster carers often tell us they are proud to be part of helping another child feel safe and supported.

That's why it's so important that we celebrate and recognise their contribution.

πŸ’™ Thank You, Children of Foster Carers

When a family fosters, it's not just foster carers who make a difference.

The children of foster carers play a vital role in helping children feel welcomed, included and supported. Through kindness, patience and friendship, they help create a home where children can thrive.

This Children of Foster Carers' Week, we're celebrating the incredible young people who help make fostering possible.🏑

This Black History Month, Croydon Fostering celebrates the rich heritage, achievements and contributions of Black communities in Croydon and across the UK.

Fostering is about providing children with a safe, nurturing home where they can feel valued, understood and proud of who they are. Children and young people thrive when their identity, culture and lived experiences are recognised and celebrated.πŸ’›πŸ’šβ€οΈ

We are proud of the diversity within our fostering community and grateful to our Black foster carers, children, families and colleagues who help make Croydon a stronger, more inclusive borough. Together, we can ensure every child grows up with a sense of belonging, connection and opportunity.

This Black History Month, let's celebrate the past, champion the present and inspire the future.
