Looking for a little outdoor adventure this week? Come and explore the ancient woodland 🍂🥾

👣 Friday is perfect for toddlers and home educators - A chance to get outside, explore nature, enjoy some fresh air and let little legs discover the trail at their own pace.

🐾 Saturday is all about family adventures! Bring the whole gang — and yes, that includes the dog! 🐶 Come along for a wander, see what you can discover and make the most of some time together outdoors.

We’ll be open from 9.30am on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th. Entry is just £3 per person and there’s no need to book - just turn up and have fun!

Please remember, the trail is not wheelchair or pushchair accessible. We recommend the use of baby carriers/ slings.

We had a fantastic time on Saturday night exploring the trail and learning all about bats. It was fascinating to see just how much bat activity is happening right on our doorstep!

A massive thank you to Michael Blencowe for leading such a brilliant walk and for delivering such a fascinating and informative presentation. You made learning about bats so much fun! 😄

From echolocation to hunting and habitats, there was plenty to learn - and plenty of excitement whenever we spotted (or heard!) a bat.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made our first bat event such a lovely evening.

Who knew a walk in the dark could be so much fun?! 🦇✨

🦇 BAT WALK — SOLD OUT! 🦇

We’re really looking forward to our Bat Walk on Saturday night 🌙 ✨

Thank you to everyone who has booked - we can’t wait to share an evening of bats, nature and discovery with you.

A little reminder for anyone hoping to join us on the night: this is a ticketed event and we’re now at capacity, so we won’t be able to welcome any walk-ins. If you haven’t got a ticket, we’re sorry you’ll miss this one — but we hope to see you at a future event! 💚

It’s been fantastic to see such a brilliant response to this event and we’re already looking at putting on more Bat Walks next year so even more of you can join us. 🦇

🌳 Would you like to be involved in the preservation of the Rowfant woodland? We’re looking for volunteers who can spare a little time on any of the dates listed to help us as we move into Autumn.

With a mix of nature trail maintenance and conservation tasks, such as meadow management, Hazel coppicing and native hedge and tree planting, there’s lots of volunteering opportunities available.

No experience is necessary but all volunteers must be aged 18+.

🪏 We will provide all the tools and show you how to use them safely.

☕️ Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided but please bring a packed lunch!

🥾 You will need to wear suitable clothes for the weather and sturdy boots

🌿Fridays are made for little adventures 🍃

We will be open every Friday and select Saturdays throughout September, giving you the chance to enjoy a quieter woodland experience and let curiosity take the lead.

If you’re a home educator, childminder or a parent to a busy toddler, Rowfant Trail is the perfect place to come and explore on a Friday.

From minibeast hunting and nature spotting to imaginative play, climbing, den building, exploring and simply enjoying the freedom of the outdoors - there’s plenty for little minds and busy bodies to discover. 🍃🐞

Come along and see where the woodland takes you this September.

From Friday 28th August through to the end of the year, well behaved dogs on a short lead are welcome to Rowfant Trail.

Please help us keep the trail enjoyable for everyone:

🐕 Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times - we have badger and deer families that call the trail home.

💩 Please clean up after your dog

🗑️ Take all dog waste bags with you

🌞 Final chance to enjoy the summer holidays at the Rowfant Trail 🌞

This Bank Holiday weekend is your last chance to come and have a go on our swings and relax in our hammocks🌳✨

We’ll be open throughout the Bank Holiday weekend, and the best bit? There’s no need to pre-book - just come along and enjoy a day of outdoor fun.

While you’re here, give our new orienteering route a try, explore the play areas, take a walk along ‘The Deer Track’ and make dens in the woods. Don’t forget the picnic too!

This adorable fawn was spotted enjoying a drink from mum — a lovely reminder of the incredible wildlife that calls the trail home.

Moments like this are a real joy to see, and just one of the many reasons the Rowfant Trail is such a special place for nature and wildlife. 🌿
