Looking for an outdoor learning experience for your school or community group?

The Rowfant Trail is now available for exclusive group bookings from July to November for just £2.50 per participant (leaders attend free)

Enjoy sole use of our nature and discovery trail, with optional seasonal spotter sheets and the flexibility to run your own activities such as scavenger hunts or wide games.

Enhance your visit with:

🎃 We’re also offering private group access to our popular HalGLOWeen event between 20th - 24th October.

And just like that, half term week is over! ☀️🌳

What a scorcher it’s been! A huge thank you to everyone who braved the heat and joined us for a wander beneath the cool woodland canopy and to explore our brand-new toddler play area. 💚

We’ve loved seeing so many happy faces and hearing your wonderful feedback – thank you! 🥰

We’re now taking a little break and will be reopening on 4th July. Until then, keep an eye on our social channels - we’ve got some exciting things in the works for the summer holidays…👀✨

A badger family, including some adorable new cubs, has made a quiet corner of the Rowfant Trail their home 🦡✨

This lovely footage was captured on one of our trail cameras a few weeks ago, catching them on an evening adventure as they snuffled, explored and foraged around the woodland. We hope they’re settling in well ♥️

We want you to have the best possible experience at the Rowfant Trail, so here’s a quick accessibility reminder to help you plan ahead for your visit.

The trail includes uneven terrain, steps and steep slopes, so it is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. If you’re visiting with little ones, we recommend using a baby carrier or sling where possible to make your visit a little easier.

🐞 Our brand-new toddler play area opens on Monday, and we’ll be welcoming visitors from 9:30am.

🚂 Hidden away in the shade at the end of the plantation, the new area features ladybird stepping stones, a station and play train, plus benches where grown-ups can relax while little ones play.

🌞 With hot weather forecast for next week, it’s the perfect time to visit. Much of the trail sits beneath the woodland canopy, keeping it beautifully cool even on the warmest days — ideal for a family adventure while escaping the heat.

It’s World Bee Day and to celebrate, Simon from Crawley Bees, who looks after the bees here at Rowfant Trail, has shared this fantastic video of the queen emerging from the hive.

This is an incredibly rare sight to see so we’re very excited to have it captured on camera! 🐝

A really lovely 7th birthday party today with Wild Canvas Kids. The children made clay pinch pots decorated with pressed flowers and leaves followed by nature inspired foam block printing.

Of course, none of our parties would be complete without a scavenger hunt through the woods followed by a photo of the birthday group.

🔃 REVERSE ROWFANT - FOR ONE WEEK ONLY 🔃

From 25th to 30th May, walk the trail in reverse and see the woodland from a new perspective.

You’ll have the option to start at the end and work your way backwards - perfect if you’ve been to the trail before and fancy trying a new challenge.

But be warned…it’s steeper than it looks!

As we enter mid May and say a final farewell to our bluebells for another year, we’re taking a look back at the beautiful blooms from just a few weeks ago.

The start of Spring brought a sea of colour to our woodland paths — the bluebells were truly magical this year! From soft morning light filtering through the trees to that unmistakable carpet of blue, every moment reminded us how special this season can be.

Here’s to the beauty of nature and the memories it gives us — until next spring, bluebells 💜

May Half Term is just a couple of weeks away…and we’ve got something exciting coming ✨

⏰ Not only are we extending our opening hours, so there’s more time for you to explore, but we’ll also be unveiling our brand new toddler play area.

🚂 Featuring a train and station inspired by the old Rowfant Station on Wallage Lane, which closed to the public in January 1967, the new area is perfect for our little explorers.

☕️ We will also be joined by Nanny Sam’s Coffee Van during half term too so you can get your caffeine fix whilst taking in the woodland scenery.
