Approved West Hartford Park development benefits from strong strategic transport links πŸ›£οΈ

The 126-acre scheme in Cramlington has received unanimous planning approval, positioning it as a key gateway for global trade and energy projects.

The site benefits from strong transport links, with no highways restrictions, ensuring efficient access for occupiers. It is also located minutes from the deep-sea Port of Blyth and will complement the Energy Central Partnership cluster.

Have your say on Moor Farm Junction improvements

National Highways has opened a public consultation today on proposed improvements to the A19 Moor Farm Roundabout. The junction currently experiences significant delays during peak periods, affecting journey times, reliability and road safety for thousands of drivers travelling between Cramlington, North Tyneside, Newcastle and beyond.

The proposed improvements aim to reduce congestion and delays, improve journey time reliability, enhance road safety, support economic growth and improve facilities for walking and cycling.

View the proposed changes and have your say at a local drop-in event:
πŸ“ The Community Hub, Manor Walks, Cramlington
Thursday 25 June, 2pm–7pm
Saturday 27 June, 10am–3pm
πŸ“ John Willie Sams Centre, Dudley
Tuesday 21 July, 2pm–7pm

You can also view the proposals and respond online. The consultation runs until 28 July, with all feedback helping to shape the future development of the scheme.

RIP PC JESS TURNBULL

19 YEARS OLD

Every day our emergency services put their lives on the line for us.

Jess died doing her duty.

Our thoughts are with her family, her friends and her colleagues.

https://www.northumbria.police.uk/news/northumbria/news/updates-on-the-a189-collision/

A police officer has tragically died in the line of duty after a collision in Northumberland.

PC Jess Turnbull was responding to a collision which occurred on the A189 Spine Road in Cramlington at about 11.10pm on Monday.

While at the scene, she was outside of a marked police vehicle when she was struck by a black Mercedes CLC which was unconnected to the original incident.

Jess was taken to hospital where yesterday, surrounded by her loved ones, she sadly died.

Jess, who was 19, joined the Force in September last year and worked on the response policing team in Northumberland.

Our thoughts very much remain with her family and those impacted by this devastating loss.

If you would like to leave a written tribute to Jess, you can do so by leaving a comment below.

East Hartford playground project has been slightly delayed, but it will commence very soon and will be ready for the summer. Please see below.

πŸ”¨ Project Update: East Hartford Playground & Horton Park Dog Park

We want to keep residents informed about two projects that were due to get underway in May.

Work on the new playground in East Hartford and the Horton Park dog park in Northburn has been delayed due to steel shortages affecting supply chains across the construction industry.

We're pleased to confirm that both projects are expected to get underway soon and be completed by the end of June.

We will share further updates as work progresses. Thank you for your patience and continued support.
