Kingsbury Academy Fundraising & Community Group Kingsbury Academy is a special educational needs (SEN) school in Coventry for pupils aged 4-11 Kingsbury Academy was previously a school for the blind.

A common question is ‘why can’t the playground be funded by the LA?’
The playground cannot be funded by Coventry city council because it’s part of the ‘Thrive Academy’ which is a small trust, it has no funds for the playground as it’s concentrating on expanding & making the school a much better space inside, so this playground will need to be fundraised for the children. The approximate costs of that project will be £30-40,000 pounds. We feel that with the support of you all, local businesses and the community we can do this for the children. We all know as parents and carers that Special needs schools nationally are very much needed & there are waiting lists for each school due to there being so few (!) so let’s make this school as magical as possible for the current & future students of Kingsbury Academy!

We’re back for another fantastic fete this Sunday, 12 until 3 pm. Bring your family, bring your friends, and bring change for all the brilliant stalls and activities.

We’ve got some wonderful local businesses supporting the event too, so there’s loads to explore.
