When did looking after your parents suddenly become something you had to think about?

As our parents and older family members get older, life can start to involve things we never expected to have to navigate.

Understanding social services.
Dealing with paperwork.

And trying to make sense of what happens next.

It can feel overwhelming, particularly when you're trying to support a loved one while still managing your own family, work and everyday life.

This is where My Care Coordinators can help.

Stand Up To Cancer πŸ’œπŸŽ—οΈ September 11th

Cancer touches so many lives, not just the person receiving the diagnosis, but their family, friends and everyone around them.

For many of the people we support, cancer can bring a huge amount of uncertainty alongside the practical challenges of treatment, appointments and changes in day-to-day life.

At My Care Coordinator, we understand that sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

πŸŽ—οΈ Helping to coordinate appointments and care
πŸŽ—οΈ Supporting families through complex health and social care systems
πŸŽ—οΈ Making sure the right support is in place
πŸŽ—οΈ Being there when things feel overwhelming
πŸŽ—οΈ Giving families one less thing to worry about

Standing up to cancer isn't just about fundraising and research. It's also about standing alongside the people living with cancer and the families supporting them.

Today, we’re showing our support for everyone affected by cancer, those currently facing it, those who have come through it, and those we sadly remember. πŸ’š

Together, we can make a difference.

National Grief Awareness Day πŸ’š

Grief touches us all, but everyone's experience is different.

At My Care Coordinator, we see grief in many forms. We support clients’ families coping with the loss of a loved one whom we have been caring for and we also care for individuals who are grieving themselves after losing a spouse, partner, sibling or a friend.

We also know that grief can begin long before a bereavement, following a diagnosis, a move into care, or the loss of independence.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no set timeline for healing. Sometimes, having someone to listen, guide and support you through life's changes can make all the difference.

Today, we remember those we've lost, acknowledge those who are grieving, and remind you that you don't have to face it alone. πŸ’š

Care Story πŸ’œ

Every family's journey is different, but no one should have to navigate it alone.
Recently, we supported someone who suddenly found themselves trying to cope with a life-changing situation whilst also navigating the health and social care system.

There were appointments to organise, care options to understand, funding questions to answer and countless decisions to make. It all felt overwhelming.
Having a dedicated Care Coordinator meant they had one trusted person to turn to – someone who could coordinate services, liaise with professionals, explain the next steps and take away some of the pressure.

Sometimes, the greatest support isn't just finding the right care. It's knowing someone is there to guide you through every stage of the journey.
That's what we're here for.

At My Care Coordinator, we help individuals and families feel informed, supported and never alone when life becomes complicated.

This story reflects the types of support we provide. Details have been generalised to protect the privacy of those we work with.πŸ’š

Working with Financial Advisers

Financial wellbeing is only one part of the picture. When a client becomes vulnerable, having the right care support for finances is just as important.
At My Care Coordinator, we work alongside Financial Advisors to provide reassurance for both clients and their families. Whether someone is living independently or in a care home, we can help ensure their health and wellbeing needs are being met.

πŸ’š Support for vulnerable clients
πŸ’š Regular welfare oversight and care coordination
πŸ’š Guidance for families who live further away
πŸ’š Health & Welfare Lasting Power of Attorney where appropriate

Our Care Coordinators are available beyond standard office hours, providing ongoing support when it's needed most and giving everyone greater peace of mind.

If you have a client you're concerned about, we'd be happy to discuss how we can help.
