Officers are appealing for information following a report that a cyclist was intentionally knocked off their bicycle in Tutshill last week.

We received an online report that the pillion passenger of a motorcycle had deliberately kicked the rear wheel of a bicycle which caused the rider to be knocked off the bicycle.

The victim stated that they were cycling along Coleford Road in Tutshill, just after the junction with Silley's Close, when a motorcyclist overtook at a close distance and the pillion passenger kicked their rear wheel.

The cyclist, a man aged in his 40s, fell off the bicycle and sustained cuts and grazes as a result of this.

This took place at around 9.55am on Saturday 30 May. The rider of the motorcycle did not stop to check on the welfare of the cyclist and continued on their journey.

The rider of the motorbike and their passenger are now asked to make contact with police so that officers can get an account of what happened.

Investigating officers are also appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either vehicle prior to the collision, or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in contact.

Information can be submitted to police by completing the following online form and quoting incident 270 of 4 June: https://orlo.uk/czeu5

There was a large police presence in Cinderford earlier this afternoon (Saturday) as officers responded to an incident.

We’d like to reassure those who saw armed police in the area that no-one has been injured and a man has been arrested.

Shortly before 1pm we were called with a report that a man was in Crucible Way/Teagues Way in possession of a knife and he was shouting threats at another man who was inside a property.

Armed police attended and a man aged in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, criminal damage and possession of a knife in a public place. He remains in custody for questioning and it is understood that those involved know each other.

Anyone who witnessed what happened and has not yet spoken to police is asked to provide information to us online by completing the following form and quoting occurrence 53260041199: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/

☀️ EXTRA PATROLS ACROSS THE FOREST THIS HALF TERM ☀️

Officers from the Forest Neighbourhood Policing Team have been carrying out additional high-visibility foot patrols in both Cinderford and Lydney during the half term week.

With the warmer weather bringing more people into our town centres and public spaces, officers focused on known antisocial behaviour hotspot's to provide reassurance, engage with the community, and help keep everyone safe.

We were also pleased to be joined by officers from our Reactive Investigations Team — PC 5531 Meredith and PC 5388 Hopkins-Phillips who swapped the office for the beat on what was literally a very hot day! 🌡️👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

Thank you to everyone who stopped to chat with officers while out on patrol. Your information and support continue to help us tackle issues affecting our communities.

If you witness antisocial behaviour or have concerns in your area, please continue to report them to us via 101 or call 999 in an emergency.
