Finally, after filing many reports with my elbows over Coalville Canyon a temporary patch has been applied.
We await the full road resurfacing, but its one less pothole in Coalville for now, and its easier to drive over!

There is little that sparks my inner chatterbox more than the Environment.

At this moment in time, I'm working my way through a Masters Degree in Environmental Science, inspired by my obsessive love for nature and the soon to be Centenarian, Leicestershires diamond, Sir David Attenborough.

The reality behind these conversations is that we don't live in a world where we can metaphorically "just pull the plug" without it making life unrecognisable.

The ecomomy is not exactly in a strong place, and like a set of balancing scales, if we go too far one way, the economy falls like a 1990s game of see saw when someone (probably a sibling) jumped off the other end, leaving you crashing to the ground.

Balance is essential. A thought through tailored approach is critical.

Last week I attended a local screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing in Hugglescote. It was a thoughtful and well-attended event, bringing together a range of perspectives on climate change, environmental pressures, and the potential long-term risks facing our country.

Lowe Street update.🚕🏎🚗

I have been putting pressure on Davidsons over the issues of parking, and despite the pushback Ive had I refused to let up and contnued to contact them. 🗣🗣

They have provided a response from the engineering team, and a TRO is in motion. 🚦🚧
Im not celebrating yet, as I want to see action...

The guidance they have sent shows that this should have been completed before construction... ✋️🛑

4 SEND nurseries should never have been earmarked for potential closure. At a time when needs are skyrocketing Ill never understand the logic.

At a time when everyone is watching the pennies, we can't afford someone being paid £5,000 per meeting out of the public purse.

Typing with my elbows about numerous potholes recently, i've had a notice to say that now emergency works are done theyve set about fixing the potholes at the top of Stephenson Way. "Work complete" except theyve missed Coalville canyon as you come off the roundabout. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

RIGHT back to the keyboard ⌨️

We are aware that fixing potholes is a moving target and the bad weather has worsened some of them to dangerous levels.

We are putting on pressure to get them fixed, but several emergency repairs around Coalville have taken priority and diverted resources.

You havent been forgotten about, we are on it.

I have deliberately been silent on this so far.

There are accounts that post deliberate untruth, inflammatory comments, divisive and warped statements - all in the name of manufactured anger - not to help, but to profit from the engagement and outrage.

That's not public service, that's self service.

As someone who uses social media daily, perhaps more accurately, hourly, both for work and political purposes, you might argue that I am a fine one to talk.
