Mum and Dad planted many acers here, some over 40 years ago. Forethought and planning! We are so lucky to have these mature stunning trees, I am still adding a couple every year!

We started increasing our wildlife meadow areas last year, and in year two they are starting to develop nicely with some yellow rattle, red clover , meadow buttercup, speedwell, ajuga, ragged robin, lots of other stuff to …and a limited number of orchids. Less grass mowing too!

Magnolias brought out early by the warm weather. Now being frosted it’s a little bit sad! And the start of a dead hedge as the first part of our wildlife garden. Lots of work to come with plans for a pond and wild flower area…

Primulas, hostas and Iris loving the warm weather. Crazy borders full of random colour. Just wish I was better at photography!
