♻️📚🌍 World Book Day Pre-Loved Sale ♻️📚🌍

DONATIONS NEEDED!!!

We are collecting fancy dress costumes and accessories for our FIRST EVER World Book Day Pre-Loved Sale – helping to make this yearly school event more affordable, practical and sustainable for families and for our planet by encouraging everyone to “not buy new” 💚

Held in partnership with Holland Park Primary School, the theme is Books and “your dream profession”, so we need items of children’s clothing or costumes either of a “profession” or of characters from any book – be it superheroes or scientists, dancers or doctors, princesses or professors, or grandads or Gruffalos!

👷🦁🧜🏻‍♀️🧑‍🎨🐛👨‍🏭🤠👨‍🍳🤖🦸‍♂️🐸👨‍🚀☃️⛹️‍♀️🤹‍♂️🧸

The costumes will be part of a “rental scheme”, by being returned to us ready to be re-loved again next year, and the next, and the next… repeat to fade…

HOW TO DONATE:
1️⃣ Dig out any fancy dress costumes that fit the brief above (age 4-11 years)
2️⃣ Drop them off or book a collection (see below info)
3️⃣ Feel smug in the fact you’ve just done a very good deed and reward yourself with a custard cream (or 7)…

EVERY COSTUME COUNTS and will go a long way in making our event a success and making a difference to our planet.

This definitely is a fish that should be out of water 💧....

If you see any swim on in seaside please please place in one of the beach toy librarys....so they don't get lost at sea again ....

Summer season has crept on in .... and Mr lobster is on the loose.

This fella got a bit caught up in the excitment of the sunshine yesterday and sadly got left behind...so he's off to the safety of the Beach Toy library to cool off... before the tide takes him off to sea 🌊 we can't have him getting lost in the big blue its not safe for him out there ....as a captive animal..

There once was a centipede very bright and yellow scurrying away from the tide line all lost and unmellow ....looking for a place too hide...but the tide kept coming in fast and wide....

He stopped and asked me if I knew where to go....

Sooo off to the beach toy library we went .. safe and sound he was found to play another day...

Getting a right handle on Monday 🤣🤣🤣

Hope everyone had the best weekend down by the sea.....

We hope you all played responsibly and returned the toys to the box's you borrowed them from ...

Why oh why do the handles get any from the buckets 🪣 the amount of separated ones is quite shocking..sooo please keep a hand firmly on the handle of your bucket handles at all times 🤣🤣🤣 after all its much easier to carry...

That is until we dug him out and showed him the way to safety 🤣😅

Spot the box..

Two more shiny new beach box's are freshly out on the trail....

So bright sooooo colourful 😍😍😍 and full of seaside charm.

One created by Eclectic Art Studio Sales at one of their fantastic work shops they run and are definitely worth checking out as they are such fun..made using upcycled materials too which we ❤️ the hand painted intricate design is simply 🤩🤩follow the lighthouse to get those buckets and spades to safety guys and don't let the crab grab those toesies.

The other one created by the talented Robyn Scarlet Sunflower Art & Illustration
We think she has done a jelly good job..watch out for those tentilcals when you come by to play you might get tickled..with this splash of sea colourings another fantastic design ....

Can't wait to see what the next two turn out like..

A bit late posting this one but Introducing our 2nd re-vamped, jazzed up beach toy library. This beautiful, seaside pastel art work was created by Jade The Print Bug we love it.
Why not take a wander today and see if you can find it - happy hunting.

Have you noticed the beach toy libraries have been getting a jazzed up lease of life along the seafront promenade ....

We have commissioned 8 local artists to work their ceative magic and brighten them up, turning them into a coloufull arty trail along the coast 😀

This is the first one to receive its makeover an we love it's seaside vibe created by local artist Michael Paul Art

Looking forward to sharing them all with as the art trail grows

With the beach toy librarys you never know what could be hiding to play within...so if you go done to the beach today you're sure to be in for a surprise ..
