European Innovation Academy was present today at Universidade Veiga de Almeida in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. 🇧🇷

As part of our university outreach initiatives, we hosted a conference chat with students to share what it means to experience EIA from the inside, from joining an international team to building a startup from zero in just three weeks.

A special thank you to Giovana Tabosa, EIA Rome 2026 alumna, for sharing her journey, insights, and learnings from the program, and to Juan Pablo Huertas, EIA Admissions Director, for guiding the conversation and introducing students to the opportunities ahead.

At EIA, we believe entrepreneurship is a skill that can be learned, practiced, and shared across borders.

Thank you to Universidade Veiga de Almeida Universidade Veiga de Almeida for welcoming us and helping us continue strengthening university connections while spreading the entrepreneurial spirit of EIA.

🎤 The person behind EIA has something to say.

Diogo Forte, our CEO, on why we built a program that doesn't hand you a certificate; it hands you a shot at your own startup.

No fake pitch decks. No hypothetical case studies. Real mentors who've built real companies, pushing you until your idea becomes something you could actually sell.

Some moments deserve a replay. ▶️💚

The energy. The people. The ideas. The laughs. The chaos. The “wait… are we actually building this?”🚀

EIA London was more than what happened in the room, it was the people you met, the conversations in between, the unexpected moments, and the memories you took home with you.

So here’s your little rewind of week 1 🇬🇧✨

At EIA, we truly believe that right partnerships make the difference. Thanks to Unicorn Factory Lisboa and Fundação Santander Portugal , a total of 3 teams from EIA Porto 2026 were awardaded with prizes that includes a final pitch and mentoring sessions, among other type of support. EIA also assigned 3 Conditional Investments, and we cannot forget the partnership with Turku Startup Hub. EIA Porto 2026, that’s a wrap! 🇵🇹🚀

Three weeks. Countless ideas. One incredible community. 💚

From meeting as strangers to building startups together, EIA Porto has been filled with big ideas, late nights, pivots, pitches, new friendships and plenty of moments we won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

On Friday, we brought it all together for the EIA Porto 2026 Grand Pitch, celebrating everything our participants have built and the journey it took to get there.

A huge congratulations to our Top 10 teams: Getbak, Ziva, Lusa, Solvo, Vizion, Innergrowthstudio, Suncheck, GRUZaiT, Seiva and Unicorporated! 👏🚀

And the celebrations didn’t stop with the Top 10! 🏆 We were incredibly grateful to see our partners recognise teams across EIA Porto with a range of additional awards and opportunities - from access to international finals and startup programmes to further funding opportunities. A huge thank you to all of our partners for continuing to support our founders beyond EIA and helping turn three weeks of innovation into opportunities that can take these startups even further. 🌍✨

To every participant, mentor, speaker, faculty member, partner and member of the EIA team who made these three weeks possible- thank you. The programme might be over, but for these startups, this is only the beginning.

Already missing EIA Porto? Because we are. 🥹
