General information

The three key areas The Young Developer tutor and mentor in are outlined below Academic Mentor & Tutor: A mentor is someone who can support you to achieve more and wants to hear what you want. As a mentor I'm interested in helping you enjoy what you do and find the right opportunities for you to develop your interest. A tutor is someone who will guide you through your academic workloads, and from my experience the session will be infused with interactivity and fun as well as getting your course, homework or exam prep done! Each session is tailored to the students needs. Currently I offer mentoring and tutoring for GCSE & A-level: English Language English Literature History Sociology Government & Politics Advisor: As an advisor, The Young Developers aims to provide resources and advice from all aspects of your development. This might include: - Personal stress management - Exam preparation - Organisational and time management skills - Exploring wider opportunities for your course - Delivering one-to-one online advisory sessions - Directing you to useful links for work in your related area of interest FAQs: I want to have a tutor from The Young Developers, what should I do? Email/send a message with your request on what you need help with. If you're a young person aged under 16, I'll need to confirm via phone that your parents agree to the learning sessions. (They'll be paying for it most likely!) I can't decide what I need, a mentor or a tutor? I would recommend asking your teachers first, as private tuition and mentoring might not be needed. But if you want extra support and a personal mentor to support you then get in touch via text/email and we can discuss more! How long is each session? Each session lasts about 50 minutes- 1 hour with follow up target goals if you continue after 3 sessions. Where do the sessions take place? As I want to make it flexible I can offer sessions both face to face and online. Online sessions require you to have a headphone, quiet space and any work you need help with available to send prior to the session online. Face to face meetings are arranged at your convenience as I am able to travel within London, and it would most likely be a public learning space like an idea store or library near your school/college, or if agreed at home. How much is it per session? £10 to cover travel expenses and time spent on any work during the session.
