The Parish Council has received confirmation from Essex County Council that the online consultation portal will close TODAY for public comments.

However, if anyone wishes to submit any comments after today they can send an email directly to [email protected] where it will be logged on the application case file and taken into consideration when determining the application.

Place Farm Waste Recycling Facility
A retrospective planning application has been submitted to Essex County Council for this site and members of the public are being asked for their views. You can make your comments by email [email protected] , or by this link https://planning.essex.gov.uk/Planning/Comment/ESS/03/26/BRW or by letter to Essex County Council, County Planning, E2 County Hall, Chelmsford, Essex CM1 1QH. Don’t forget to quote the reference number ESS/03/26/BRW.

The deadline for comments has been extended by three weeks to the 4th June.
The Parish Council has objected to this application and will be sending in its response shortly.
All comments are published by Essex County Council on their website.

We have asked that the decision on this application is made at a public County Council meeting and, if this is agreed you will be able to go along and speak at the meeting. Contact their Planning Department for more details on 03330 134583.

Coach Trip to Frinton-on-Sea - 16th July 2026

There are tickets available for the coach trip leaving the Village Hall car park at 9.30am. Tickets are £15 per person and need to be purchased from the Parish Office in advance (cash or cheque - the correct cash would be appreciated).

The office is open 9.30am - 12.30pm Tuesday - Thursday.
Priority will be given to those within the Parish of Doddinghurst.
