Tut, the Eygptian gosling we recently featured in his battle to survive since birth at Rush Pond in early February, has won the hearts of many locals.
Bowls of food and water are now being provided at his favourite shady spot at the end of Prince Imperial Road, helping him to develop a full plumage and master flying.
Tut, short for Tutankhamun, is now making a pharaoh fight to enjoy his first summer in Chislehurst!

Then and Now

This is 1898, 29th June visit of Duchess of Albany (daughter in law of Queen Victoria) coming to raise money for her Deptford Fund.
Albany Road is named after her, as is the Albany Theatre in Deptford.

Chislehurst witnessed its biggest and best-attended annual motor show since launching four years ago.
Just over 200 vehicles entered Sunday’s event, which saw the High Street closed for most of the day to allow the thousands to roam and enjoy a rain-free afternoon with super cars of all ages on show.
Hornbrook House car park housed a funfair and food stalls, while a new kids’ zone opened at the end of Prince Imperial Road.
