Recently, members of LMAC Group’s Fire Stopping and Electrical teams, alongside our Social Value Manager, attended the Brentwood Jobs, Skills & Volunteering Event at The Brentwood Centre.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with attendees, discuss career pathways within the construction and property maintenance sectors, and offer valuable advice on apprenticeships and routes into employment.

Our teams also delivered hands-on skills taster activities, giving attendees the chance to explore the practical skills involved in fire stopping and electrical work and gain a real insight into these rewarding trades.

We were particularly pleased to engage with young people and individuals who are currently not in employment, education or training (NEET), helping to raise awareness of the opportunities available and the different pathways into a successful career.

At LMAC, we are committed to supporting young people, developing skills and helping individuals take their next steps towards employment. Events like these are a wonderful way to share knowledge, build confidence and inspire people to explore new opportunities.

A big thank you to the event organisers Brentwood Borough Council and Rochford District Council and everyone who took the time to speak with our team. We hope our conversations and activities have helped spark an interest in the skilled trades and essential business admin!

What a day!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Charity Golf Day and helped make it such a fantastic event.

Together, we raised an incredible £17,454 for the amazing Spread a Smile charity. 🙌

We’re getting the LMAC team together for a friendly football match against  at Billericay Town FC on Friday 2nd October, from 7pm – and we’d love you to come along and support us.
 
Talk FC is a fantastic community football team with a strong focus on bringing men together, encouraging conversations and providing support to help improve mental health.
 
LMAC have recently supported Talk FC by funding 10 new sessions at Powerleague, Fairlop Waters, and we’re delighted that one of our sub-contractors, Huge Force, generously stepped up to fund the next 10 sessions too.

The sessions are free to attend every Tuesday from 7pm at Powerleague, Fairlop Waters, and everyone is welcome. So, if you fancy getting involved, meeting new people and enjoying some football, why not head along!
 
To add a bit of friendly competition for the regular Talk FC players, they arrange occasional matches against local business and organisations – and LMAC are up next!

Come and support us! 
Even if football isn’t your thing, we’d love to see as many supporters as possible on the night. Bring along your family and friends and help us cheer the team on!
 
It’s set to be a great evening of football, fun and community spirit, while supporting the brilliant work Talk FC is doing.

Next Friday 11th September, we’ll be heading to The Heron Country Club in Brentwood for what promises to be another fantastic day of golf, networking, fun and fundraising. 🍻⛳️

Whether you’re playing as a four-ball or joining us as an individual, we can’t wait to welcome you to the course.

Continued Progress at Queen Elizabeth Hospital

Works continue on Wards 2 & 4 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where we’re working in partnership with VINCI Facilities to deliver important refurbishment improvements within a live healthcare environment.

Our teams are progressing with internal redecoration, new flooring and ceiling upgrades, alongside the installation of colour-coded Whiterock wall protection to bed bays.

The use of carefully selected colours is particularly important within the ward environment, helping to support patients living with dementia by making spaces easier to recognise and navigate.

Working within an operational healthcare setting requires careful planning, coordination and attention to detail at every stage. Our teams continue to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the project progresses safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to patients and staff.

We’re proud to see the project progressing and to be contributing to a safer, more welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who uses the hospital.
