Owls About Town Hazel and friends Quietly tucked away in Sidlesham in our own special corner of the West Sussex countryside we have a wonderful collection of Owls.

Some of them have been hand reared and trained ourselves, with their care and welfare being given the utmost priority

There are so many ways in which we can share the fun, excitement and pleasure our birds have to offer with you. Owls about Town was founded to educate and inform both children and adults about our birds. By offering instructional visits to schools, groups and individuals, we aim t

o increase the awareness of these beautiful creatures and actively encourage and promote their protection and conservation as well as create an opportunity where the public can experience close contact with our birds.

Just a little video of the Tawny owl released yesterday. He was placed back as close as possible to the spot he was found. As you can see, he couldn't wait to get back to the woodland and disappeared from sight. We can only wish him well and hope he does well.

So this little Tawny male, was handed in last week, found on the roadside. Had a few maggots around his face as had food stuck to it 😞 A good clean up later and encouraged to get a bath as he did once I moved from view. He did have a x-ray and thankfully nothing was found. A bit of good food and was released this morning. Let's hope things work out for him.
