Police CyberAlarm helps organisations identify known vulnerabilities and understand suspicious and potentially malicious activity targeting them from the internet.

What is Police CyberAlarm?
Police CyberAlarm is a free cyber threat detection tool funded by the Home Office and managed by the police led National Cybercrime Team. It helps to identify malicious external cyber activity against a member’s network through monitoring and vulnerability scanning.

Your business or organisation receives thousands of attempts and attacks every day and will have network security devices that protect your systems from these requests; these devices are what Police CyberAlarm monitors.

Important roadworks information form National Highways
A12 northbound junction 19 exit slip road– traffic signal repair

I’m writing to tell you that we plan to carry out traffic signal repairs on the A12 northbound at the junction 19 exit slip road. This work is needed to repair and maintain the equipment used to monitor our network and manage traffic flows.

We plan to complete this work overnight on Tuesday 20 October 2026. We’ll be working between 9pm and 5am, weather permitting.

Closures and diversions

To carry out the work safely, we’ll need to close the A12 northbound at the junction 19 exit slip road and divert traffic as follows:

Drivers planning to exit the A12 at junction 19 should continue northbound on the A12 and exit at junction 20a. Then join the B1137 and continue to rejoin the A12 southbound to exit at junction 19.

Emergency vehicle will not have access through the work.

Nominations opened on 1 September 2026 and close on 1 December 2026.

A strong nomination is about telling the story of what makes your nominee extraordinary. You should explain:

What they have achieved
The impact they have had, such as how many people they have helped or how much money they have raised
How they have made a difference
What obstacles they have overcome
How they have gone the extra mile
You can also include supporting evidence such as articles, photographs, letters or examples of other recognition they have received.

The Honours system recognises people who have made achievements in public life and committed themselves to serving and helping Britain. Nominees must be active at the time they are nominated, and decisions on whether someone receives an honour, and which honour they receive, are made by a National Honours Committee.

So, who do you know in Essex who deserves to be recognised?

Don't assume someone else will nominate them. Take the time to tell their story and put them forward.

A nomination could give someone the recognition they truly deserve.
