Remedial works of cutting down the Ash die back trees - alongside the bridlepath next to the trackbed- have been carried out these past 3 weeks , as per our legal requirement. This work has been carried out Magnificently by Steve Lloyd, his son Jake, driver Blackie and a few other lads. They have done an amazing job in difficult surroundings. All works carried out have been undertaken with the correct licences etc and approval met by the local council. The Teifi Valley Railway are pleased to announce that work has recommenced on the rolling chassis of our Quarry Hunslet Alan George. The work is being carried out by C.J.S. Heritage Engineering (Wigan) Ltd. If all goes according to plan 2027 should see the return of steam at the railway.

ANY donation no matter how small or large gratefully received and would get steam back at the T.V.R. Quicker.

Byron and Mark discussing fitting the blast pipes and chimney in Sgt. Murphy. We could have Sgt. Murphy ( our Kerr Stuart) in steam cheaper than our Quarry Hunslet Alan George, however, Alan George will be much cheaper to run. Things are quietly progressing and we hope to have an update within the next few weeks.

Alan will be restoring what we call the Cote coach named after the place where it was built ie Cote Farm, Oxfordshire by John Eden. The coach worked for a while on the Welsh Highland Railway, Porthmadog. When finished it will be our “First Class” coach.
