Today Red Watch and 2 of our on-call colleagues hosted ARB Redruth School. 🚒 Their visit included a tour around Tolvaddon Community Fire Station and a look at all our appliances before testing our hose reel jets! It's safe to say an enjoyable time was had by all!

As Boat Fire Safety Week comes to a close, some advice from Red watch- 🚒

✅ Install smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
✅ Turn off cooking appliances fully after use
✅ Dispose of ci******es safely and make sure they’re completely out
✅ Regularly check fuel, gas, and electrical systems
✅ Have appliances installed and serviced by qualified professionals
✅ Create an emergency escape plan and share it with everyone on board
✅ Keep a fire extinguisher within easy reach

🌭🍔 Having a barbecue this weekend?

✅ Make sure your barbecue is a safe distance from sheds, fences and anything that may catch fire.
✅ Always keep pets and children a safe distance
✅ When you've finished always make sure your barbecue is fully extinguished and pack away carefully

🚒 We’re at Trevithick Day this Saturday!

The On-Call Crew from Tolvaddon Fire Station will be in Camborne from 10:00–14:00.

Come and say hello, meet the crew, and get hands-on with some of our equipment. You can try on fire kit, explore the engine inside and out, and chat to us about fire safety and becoming an on-call firefighter.

It’s a fantastic community event with something for everyone—perfect for families!
