The finalists of the Burnley Business Awards 2026 have been revealed, after a tough round of shortlisting for the judges.
Businesses in the borough entered in their droves, with 150 entries received, reflecting our entrepreneurial spirit.
VEKA plc is the generous headline sponsor of the 600-attendee event at Towneley Hall in July and their support has been invaluable in ensuring an incredible evening takes place. The organisers are Burnley Borough Council, with the cost of the event fully covered by sponsorship and ticket sales.

Lukman Patel, chief executive at Burnley Council, said: “I know the judges were incredibly impressed by the entries and it was a tough job to whittle 150 down to the finalists. This was especially the case in the micro business category, which accounted for a fifth of total entries.
“It’s testament to the hard work and resilience of our business community and I’d like to thank Burnley businesses for their commitment to raising the prosperity of the borough. And to those who did not make the finals, please do not be disheartened, the volume of entries was high, and we’d certainly encourage you to bring your success stories to us once again at the next Burnley Business Awards. Of course, everyone is still welcome to attend to celebrate the success of their hard-working employees.
“All the best to the finalists and we look forward to celebrating the borough’s determination on the night of the awards. We’re delighted it can once again be held at Towneley Hall following its extensive restoration. I’d also like to once again thank all of our sponsors and judges, in particular our headline sponsor VEKA, who are celebrating 40 years of being in the borough.”
