Thank you to all the lovely Plaistow residents who voted for me. It was always going to be incredibly difficult to get re-elected as a lone Independent up against the large political parties, especially with the tactical voting to keep one particular party out.

But I thought I'd give it a shot after so many local people wanted me to stand again and I'm glad I did. I had a lovely campaign, full of compliments, friendly conversations and endless coffees!

It's been a really interesting four year term and I have enjoyed it so much. So many new acquaintances made, so many projects and changes, big and small, that I've initiated, all of which I am immensely proud. A role I have truly loved.

I am most proud of the future pedestrian crossings at Plaistow Green roundabout junctions (note the photo!). I lobbied for it, walked it and discussed it with senior Conservatives, Directors of Traffic and the Council engineers and was delighted when Transport for London monies were secured for it. Thank you to Conservative Portfolio Holder Cllr Nicholas Bennett (now retired) for his help. I hope the future public consultation is well attended and I thank the Traffic officers and engineers for their work on this scheme. Bromley residents and families, especially the school children and elderly, need a safe way to travel across an aggressive roundabout where fast moving vehicles have taken priority for too many years.

There have been many other smaller wins for Plaistow ward under my tenure and I hope residents will remember the "Alisa" years favourably.

I've many, many messages on my phone and email and I will work through them and reply to all. Apparently I am technically still a councillor until Monday so the email is still live.

Good luck to Panos and Alwin, I wish them well.

Thank you Plaistow, it's been a blast!

Alisa xx

Vote Alisa Igoe

Your Independent Candidate for Plaistow ward.

It's been a busy time delivering my leaflet across the ward to nearly 5,000 households and speaking to many people on the doorsteps. My "team" are my family who have helped and supported me so wonderfully.

No big political party, no big party funds. Just me, my family and my own funds spent on trying to secure another four years as a Bromley Councillor, a role I have loved and enjoyed.

If you vote for me today, thank you.

I'm so very keen to continue to work as hard for you lovely Plaistow residents, as I have these last four years.

Happy Bank Holiday Monday!

Early this morning I watered the Burnt Ash planters and had a quick chat with the Veolia team emptying the bins. Lovely chaps!

I found fly-tipped cardboard by the recycling banks in Sundridge Park Village car park, which I'll report.

PLEASE flatten down your cardboard and put it IN the paper bank. There was plenty of space in the bank. Leaving it beside the banks is fly-tipping.

Let's keep Plaistow ward tidy and clean!

Thank you.

I'm receiving many lovely messages from residents about my Independent Candidate for Plaistow leaflet. A snapshot of my work in the ward.

Thank you to everyone who's emailed, texted and spoken to me on the doorsteps.

People appreciate the effort I've put in over these past 4 years to be present in the community, out on the streets, chatting, helping, advising. Doing all I can to make Plaistow a better place. The role is so interesting and varied!

Only a few more days to go until local elections on Thursday 7th May.

So please Vote Alisa Igoe if you'd like me to continue to work for you, and only for you.

Thank you.

📢 We’ve Moved (Temporarily)!

We recently relocated our collection bin in The Glades to the middle aisle seating area, across from our previous unit (1st floor, upper mall).

This is a temporary setup while we prepare to move into a permanent, more visible location in the mall.

As always, our collection bin is open for donations during The Glades opening hours. 💝

Last night I attended the Plaistow Safer Neighbourhood Panel, where our local SNT Police team reported back to local resident representatives and councillors on their work in the ward.

Theft from motor vehicles and of motor vehicles has risen again and we were reminded to be vigilant and report all crimes. Officers have been patrolling in plain clothes and uniformed.

On 7th March (photo) our SNT and Met Police Cadets held a MetEngage sign up event on Milk Street and New Street Hill. I visited them during this and an increase of 32% take up was achieved. Thank you especially to the Cadets.

On a lighter note our SNT has recently visited a local care home and a nursery, visits which were thoroughly enjoyed by all.
