🚌 Do you want a direct bus service between Hanham, Longwell Green and Bath?

Since the former number 37 was withdrawn, many residents have faced longer, more complicated and less accessible journeys.

We want to better understand local demand for reinstating a dependable direct service.

The aim of this survey is to gather evidence and support the need to reinstate the 37 bus or similar service.

The former number 37 provided a direct bus between Bristol and Bath via Hanham and Longwell Green. Its withdrawal at the end of January 2022 removed an important through-service for residents travelling towards Bath. The number 37 is now used for an unrelated route elsewhere in the Bristol area.

Great Big Bulb Planting Event at Jubilee Park

Join us for Great Big Bulb Planting Week 2026 during October half-term.

Help us plant up to 6,000 bulbs - daffodils, snowdrops and crocuses - to bring our open spaces alive with colour. All sessions, taking place between 10am to 2pm, are free with tools provided.

Monday 26 October - C**k Road Ridge Nature Reserve, Kingswood, BS15 9SQ.

Tuesday 27 October - Magpie Bottom Nature Reserve, Hanham, BS15 8HD.

Wednesday 28 October - Gorse Covert Nature Reserve, Patchway, BS34 5EL.

Thursday 29 October - Jubilee Park, Cadbury Heath, BS30 8BT.

Friday 30 October - Thornbury Community Orchard, BS35 1LT.

Have your say, share your ideas and raise any concerns about your community at the next Your Voice meeting for Kings Forest and Hanham.

Split into 3 sessions including a marketplace of information stands, community talks, and an open forum, the meeting creates an informal space for conversations between communities, the council and other key partners.

The meeting for Kings Forest and Hanham will be on Thursday 15 October, 6.30pm to 8.30pm at Staple Hill Methodist Church.

A Night of Celebration: Parish Awards Evening Draws a Full House

Cadbury Heath Hall was filled to capacity on the evening of 8 October as prize winners, their families and guests came together to celebrate achievements in this year’s Parish Awards Evening.

The event recognised the winners and entrants of the Best Allotment Competition, Art & Photography Competition, and Best Wildlife Garden Competition.

It was wonderful to see so many high-quality entries across all categories, reflecting the talent, creativity and dedication that exists within our community.
