Are you safe in your home? Do you have working smoke alarms?

Local councillor and Fire Authority member Tim Kent is encouraging people this month to ensure their home is safe.

Avon Fire & Rescue offer free home visits where they can check your home, offer advice, and even fit free smoke alarms.

Visits are targeted to those who are most vulnerable and where we know there is an increased risk of fire, such as those who:

are aged 65 years or over
have sight and/or hearing loss
have mobility concerns
have mental health concerns
have memory concerns
are unable to escape unaided if there is a fire
are a family with children under the age of 5 years

If you are eligible for a visit you can click on the link and complete a visit request.

Fires in homes are a significant risk. Following our home fire safety tips to help keep you and your loved ones stay safe.
