Wessex Water in partnership with YTL Construction UK have completed a £1.7 million project near Bath to improve the resilience of the local sewer network.

Working together, the teams delivered a new 110,000-litre underground storage tank in Monkton Combe, providing additional capacity during periods of heavy rainfall.

Careful planning throughout the project helped overcome the challenges of narrow village lanes and restricted access, while reducing disruption to the local community.

The new infrastructure will help reduce discharges to the environment and improve water quality at nearby Warleigh Weir.

Take a look at how we're working together to deliver sustainable infrastructure for the future. 💧🌱

Last month, we welcomed delegates from the Malaysian Government as part of a programme facilitated by the British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce.

Over two weeks, they spent time with teams across our business, visiting our Operations Centre, Saltford Water Recycling Centre, Brabazon and the University of the West of England (UWE) to see first-hand how we deliver services, drive innovation and support the next generation of talent.

The visit was a fantastic opportunity to exchange knowledge, share best practice and strengthen international relationships.

We hope the delegates enjoyed their time with us and look forward to staying connected in the future. 🤝
