"There are moments when political leaders need to speak clearly, but also occasions when words need to lead to something more.

Maggie Tyrrell and I have today responded to the open letter from Liz Brennan. We are unequivocal in condemning antisemitism and the Green Party conference motion, but we also want to use this as an opportunity to bring people together and turn shared concern into practical action.

We hope colleagues across the Council will join us in working with our schools, faith and community representatives to challenge antisemitism, promote understanding and strengthen community cohesion.

🚗Big news for South Glos roads! 🚗

Through Helen Godwin, Mayor of the West of England's Potholes and Pavements Fund, over £200 million will be invested in roads in the West of England.

Labour has worked together at a national, regional and local level to provide £30 million more than in previous funding windows.

At South Glos the administration worked quickly to make sure that we see a focus on local residential roads, which we know are a priority for our residents.

You may have heard the the Post Office in Kings Chase will be closing when TG Jones closes it’s doors.

Labour is working with both the council and the Post Office, who are looking to open a new store as soon as soon as they can. We want to hear from you about to get a better idea of how you use the Post Office currently, and what you’d like us to fight in any new Post Office.

When we came into administration 3 years ago we said it wasn’t good enough that the schools our communities needed had not been built.

We hit the ground running on an ambitious school building programme to make good on promises to our residents.

Today, Grimsbury Farm reopens with new management from Brandon Trust, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for Grimsbury Farm and the residents of Kingswood.
