Solidarity Tapes are putting on a series of events raising funds and awareness for radical grassroots groups striving for migrant, climate & racial justice.

The first event is a Migrant Solidarity Fundraiser - an opportunity to stand in solidarity with migrants facing the UK's hostile environment and violent borders. Funds raised will go towards 'Watch the Channel' a radical collective who provide safety information and border monitoring for migrants travelling by boat to the UK. This dangerous journey has resulted in deaths at our border, people killed by the violence of the UK's border system. The Home Office aims to make this crossing even more dangerous with illegal pushbacks, now more than ever we need to act in solidarity with migrants against racist, violent borders.

Alongside bands there will be speakers from Watch the Channel and other migrant justice groups and zines and info on how to get involved in the struggle.

Too many venues have had to close their doors for good in the wake of covid, this is primarily down to a complete lack of understanding of care for the importance of music and DIY culture. Support your local venues and support artists, if you enjoy any of the songs on this playlist and are able to, consider supporting the artists directly.

Also if you are yet to pick up a tape, zine, download, or T-shirt then we recommend you order this Friday as it is bandcamp Friday once again and fees are waived meaning all the money you give can go straight to the organisations we are fundraising for!
