Lots of people, including Pele Barnes and myself, think that party politics have no use in local politics - in fact they are a hindrance. We want to see local politics being done BY the community and WITH the community, not AT the community. We want to work collaboratively, and not waste time, energy, and resources squabbling over the agendas of national leaders who don't care about Bridgwater. The upcoming by-election is one step on the road to independent politics in Bridgwater (take a look at towns like Frome if you want to see what that could mean). We won't be spending huge amounts on campaigning but will need to pay for leaflets - would anyone like to be part of this independent revolution and chip in? If so we'll set up a crowdfunder...

I am pleased to support local East Bridgwater man Pele Barnes in his bid to become an independent councillor on Bridgwater Town Council for Fairfax East (Bower). We all know party politics is a drain on resources and a barrier to true co-operation for the good of the community. On December 18th vote for Bridgwater, vote for Pelé.
