Now that was a busy observer shift! Six calls dropping off at hospitals in three different counties (and a few stand downs of course!) and a lot of poorly folk helped.
Thank you to Matt and Nicole for a great shift and the SCAS team for organising - professional and compassionate as always folks, and good luck over Christmas ❤️

Would like to congratulate our basingstoke based colleague Alan Trott on receiving his 20 year SCAS Long Service Medal for 20 years with the NHS from the Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire and the SCAS CEO, David Eltringham. This is the first time that CFR's have been presented with this award - nice one bud!!

Last month, our 765 volunteer Co-Responders and Community First Responders attended 2702 incidents and clocked up over 18,000 hours on call between them, this is a fantastic achievement from them all and we are really proud of all of the fantastic contribution that they continue to give.

This wouldn't be possible without the fantastic support and donations received from the public. Did you know it can cost around £310 a year just to keep a volunteer responder on the road and that is before taking into account the use of the all important life saving kit that they carry.

We are very short of responders in Tadley and surrounding areas at present - as an active volunteer role there's nothing quite like it🙂👍

If you have a spare minimum 20 hours per month/5 hours per week, and you would like to help others then have a look at our website. We are a fun, friendly team, we meet on a regular basis and attend local events to help raise money and support the South Central Ambulance Charity.
