Our Theatre and Recovery teams recently stepped away from their busy clinical roles to recharge and connect with one another through a series of fun team-building activities.

Lixia Wang, Staff Nurse, helped plan the session alongside Emma Ford, Senior Practice Educator. She said: "in healthcare we spend so much time caring for others that it can be easy to forget the importance of looking after ourselves and our colleagues. This workshop gave us the chance to see the person behind their role, strengthen relationships across teams, and enjoy some well-deserved time together."

Thank you, Lixia, Emma, and all our fab Theatres and Recovery colleagues for prioritising your wellbeing, for looking out for each other, and for all that you do! 💙

We would like to thank Gill for sharing this photograph from September 1986, which features a group of student nurses beginning their careers at Boscombe or Poole Hospital.

She said, "I loved my training at Poole, I moved from Newcastle to Poole and had the best time. I worked on paediatrics ENT, then E1 paediatrics surgery and trauma before going to Edinburgh to qualify as a paediatric nurse. I still come down to Poole to visit family and I always visit the hospital as it brings so many happy memories back."

Do you have any photos of Bournemouth, Poole, or Christchurch Hospital from the past? We would love to see them!
