Revolution Sound, community soundsystem The politics of dancing. Fundraising for progressive causes.

/Birmingham UK You'll no doubt have noticed, but we're at war. In solidarity.

The Tory Government is intent on whittling away every last hard-won democratic advance, every last measure of security or stability. Legal aid, the NHS, unemployment benefits, workers' rights, all decimated. And the plain fact is that we're losing. Revolution Sound is a cultural intervention: an attempt to recognise where we are, to allow people to socialise and engage with each other in an atmosp

here of warmth and solidarity, while raising funds for progressive groups and causes. We're hoping to be a semi-regular night. In 2014 we raised money for Birmingham Community Law Centre and Medical Aid for Palestine. In May 2015, we raised nearly £300 for Birmingham foodbanks. In 2016 and 2017 we have organised foodbank collections for Birmingham and Solihull Women's Aid and for B30 Foodbank. We have also raised funds for anti fascist causes, asylum seeker charities and a community farm project. Let us know if you'd like to play at a future event, or if you have a group or cause in need of support.
