🚶‍♂️ Community Walkabout Update – Clopton & Honeybourne

This morning I joined both of our Housing Officers for a walkabout following concerns raised by residents. It was really helpful to speak directly on site and see the issues first-hand.

We discussed a number of important matters, including:

• Overflowing bins

• Overgrown hedges and general upkeep

• Improvements to shared green spaces

In relation to the bins, it was identified that the current number of bins is insufficient for the needs of the households, and this will be reviewed and addressed by the relevant teams.

One of the key priorities we agreed on is making better use of the green space behind several of the blocks on Clopton and Honeybourne, so residents can truly enjoy it. This is a fantastic asset for the community, and we want to ensure it’s clean, safe and welcoming for everyone. 🌿

I’ll be continuing to work closely with housing teams to ensure these issues are followed up and improvements are made.

𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩

Communities across the West Midlands are set to benefit from a major £1.4 million investment aimed at tackling crime, disorder, anti-social behaviour and re-offending.

The funding, allocated by Police and Crime Commissioner Simon Foster, will support 66 projects delivered through Community Safety Partnerships (CSPs) spanning all seven policing areas: Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton.

This fresh injection of cash underlines the Commissioner’s continued commitment to prevention, early intervention and partnership working – ensuring resources are directed where they are most needed to keep communities safe and secure.
