Abandoned vehicle removed - Fortnum Close ✅

An abandoned vehicle on Fortnum Close, which had also been filled with fly-tipped waste, has now been removed.

The vehicle was reported and a 14-day notice was issued by Birmingham City Council before its removal.

Thank you to Birmingham International Coaches Ltd for their cooperation in helping to get this dealt with and removed.

Really pleased to see this eyesore gone. 👏

🛴 Lime e-bikes & e-scooters are now available in Glebe Farm & Tile Cross 🚲

From today (Wednesday 12th August), Lime's e-bike and e-scooter service has expanded into East Birmingham, including Glebe Farm & Tile Cross. As shown on the map below, the area shaded in blue is the new expansion to the existing service area.

📍Riders must park in specific approved parking locations agreed with Birmingham City Council. These locations are geofenced, meaning the app should prevent journeys being ended outside an approved space.

⚠️Riders who do not follow the parking rules can face fines of up to £20.

🅿️The new parking locations may not be physically marked out for the first few weeks while Lime and the Council make sure the locations are suitable before making them permanent.

As this is a new rollout, there could be some teething issues. So if you spot a Lime bike or scooter causing any obstruction, parked inappropriately or have any concerns about the service, residents can report these directly to Lime here: https://help.li.me/hc/en-gb/requests/new

It will be interesting to see how it works so please do share any thoughts.

🚧Cole Hall Lane - Upcoming Road Closure🚧

A quick heads-up that Severn Trent will be undertaking essential water main works on Cole Hall Lane from 1st September for approximately four weeks.

There will be a road closure on Cole Hall Lane, near the junction with Watland green, with a signed diversion route in place while the works are carried out.

The map below shows the section of the road being closed, the diversion route and the location of the new water main.

I have also attached the letter from Severn Trent below, which provides further information about the works and what residents can expect.

Please allow a little extra time for journeys and share with anyone who may be affected!☺️

🚛 Reminder! The Tip Truck is back this Friday! ♻️

Just a reminder that Birmingham City Council's Mobile Household Waste Centre (or the Tip Truck as we all call it) will be at Gressel Lane, B33 9JU on Friday 7th August, from 7:30am until 12:30pm.

It's a great opportunity to get rid of those unwanted household items without having to make a trip to the tip.

📍 Gressel Lane, B33 9JU
🕢 7:30am - 12:30pm

Please check the leaflet to see what items can and cannot be accepted before you come along.
