Did you know that this week is volunteers week? We are proud to have over 700 volunteers within South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust South Central Ambulance Charity.

The photo shows a recent cohort of 15 brand new volunteer Community First Responders after completing their training in Hampshire and are all now out there responding to patients in their own time providing life saving care prior to the arrival of an emergency ambulance

South Central Ambulance Charity are growing our team of Fundraising & Events Volunteers, and we’d love you to be part of it.
You’ll help us raise the profile of the charity at community events — from local fetes and fairs to 999 Days and racecourse fundraisers.
No fundraising experience needed — just enthusiasm, a smile, and a passion for supporting your local ambulance service. 🚑💚

It is the last day of 2025 and we currently have 42 of our volunteer South Central Ambulance Charity Community First Responders & Co-Responders logged on across the South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust region.

On Christmas Day, our volunteer responders provided nearly 200 hours of cover between them across the patch, this is a fantastic achievement.

Wishing all of our followers, volunteer first responders and staff a very safe and Happy New Year.

Thankyou for all of the hard work and time that you have given back to attending patients within your communities.

Our Volunteer Community First Responders and Co-Responders are often first on scene to patients delivering life saving care prior to the arrival of an Emergency Ambulance. Thankyou for everything that you do.
