South Central Ambulance Charity are growing our team of Fundraising & Events Volunteers, and we’d love you to be part of it.
You’ll help us raise the profile of the charity at community events — from local fetes and fairs to 999 Days and racecourse fundraisers.
No fundraising experience needed — just enthusiasm, a smile, and a passion for supporting your local ambulance service. 🚑💚

✨ What you’ll do:
• Chat with members of the public
• Share how donations support Community First Responders (CFRs)
• Encourage people to get involved
• Be part of a welcoming, supportive team

It is the last day of 2025 and we currently have 42 of our volunteer South Central Ambulance Charity Community First Responders & Co-Responders logged on across the South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust region.

On Christmas Day, our volunteer responders provided nearly 200 hours of cover between them across the patch, this is a fantastic achievement.

Wishing all of our followers, volunteer first responders and staff a very safe and Happy New Year.

Thankyou for all of the hard work and time that you have given back to attending patients within your communities.

We are offering a FREE CPR & Defibrillator Awareness session on Saturday 25th October 2025 from 2pm at the Forest Community Centre in Bordon that is open to everybody. On Saturday 6th September we will be at Port Solent 999 day from 10am - 4pm and on Sunday we will be at the Blue Light Hub in Milton Keynes from 11am - 3pm.

Our volunteer South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust Community First Responders and Co-Responders have been with South Central Ambulance Charity staff at Victorious Festival. Our Hayling Island Community Responders have been celebrating 25 years of Community Responding on Hayling Island (Hampshire) this weekend. An absolutely fantastic achievement and a huge thankyou and well done to them all. The team held a get together where they invited as many current and previous responders as they could to celebrate the occasion.

The scheme have 13 Volunteer Community First Responders who have provided over 2100 hours of responding between them this year and attended 393 incidents so far! Give them a wave if you see them around on Hayling Island!
