Safer Roads Humber is the regional road safety partnership and works towards reducing road injuries. (Please note this site is NOT monitored 24/7)

Safer Roads Humber is made up of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Highways England, Hull City Council, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, Humberside Police, North East Lincolnshire Council and North Lincolnshire Council. The partners work together to reduce the number of crashes and casualties on the regions roads.

Back to school part 2!
This week sees children in East Riding and Hull return to school (many schools in Northern Lincs started last week).
So, keep an eye out for children and slow down.

A big shout out to anyone watching the British Cycling Lloyds Tour of Britain race today starting in Hull and ending in Beverely.
Pop along to the start in East Park, Hull or to the finish at Beverley Racecourse where there’s loads of activities going on or watch the race along the route. (stock image)

It’s back to school for some children this week, especially in Northern Lincolnshire.
So, drivers, remember to slow down, don’t be distracted and keep a look out for other road users.

The Road Safety Trust is asking for children and young people and their parents or carers to take part in a study which will help understand who neurodivergent children and young people experience roads and streets.

Do you have a child in the family starting secondary school next week?
Or perhaps they will be walking or cycling to school by themselves soon?
Take sometime this week to practice the new route to school:
Walking – do they know the safe places to cross the road?
Cycling - do they know a safe cycling route?
Getting the bus – do they know which bus to get and where the stops are?
Going with friends – make sure they understand that they need to concentrate, as it’s easy to get distracted by friends.
