It's disappointing that someone has to resign 12 months before elections , but it shows how poorly run Bedford Borough Council has been since 2023, the Mayor has to take responsibility

🚨 More Chaos at the Council 🚨 The Mayor hand picked Cllr Rigby as a member of his cabinet – but now Cllr Rigby has resigned saying that “I felt that I could no longer stay in his cabinet any longer.” This throws the already bankrupt council into further chaos. If the Conservatives are criticising their own Mayor’s leadership then, for the sake of local residents, it is long past the time when the Mayor should go.
