It is currently the rutting season for deer and so it is extremely dangerous to approach them. Stags and bucks are most aggressive at this time of the year. Please stay back and give them their space. They are wild animals not pets.

One photo shows the large stag sticking his tongue out while looking directly at the camera - but on another day, things might have ended in tragedy

A very important kit!

Wow! Lidl GB has become the first supermarket in the UK to stock tick kits! And at a mere £1.49, they're very affordable too. 💚💚💚

This feels like a momentous step forward! 🎉🎉🎉

What a dream it would be if other supermarkets such as Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose & Partners, Aldi UK and Marks and Spencer jumped on the bandwagon and also began to stock tick kits!

Supermarkets could ensure that the UK is safe from ticks and promote tick awareness.

For now though, we are just celebrating this wonderful victory. Thank you Lidl GB for setting a fine example. 🙏🙏🙏

To all the mums out there that are currently self isolating with their children, good luck, you're going to need it and to all the mums out there that are still working to keep us all alive in the midst of the covid 19 pandemic, thank you! xx 💞

Come along to Navan Fort on Sunday to this FREE event! We will be there from 11:00am-3:00pm! 🦌

It's only a few days until this Sunday's FREE drop-in ecology event, Sowing the Seeds for Patrick, taking place on 8th March from 11:00am-3:00pm (no booking necessary).

Learn about the local environment & how to protect it for future generations. Activities include planting trees, an eco trail hunt, creating your own mini garden and making paper pots to plant with your own seedling to take home.

With a wide range of different providers in attendance throughout the day, this is the perfect opportunity to discover the answers to all of your ecology related questions!
