Have you got solutions for improving life in Haddenham? Want to be involved in Haddenham's decision-making processes? Want to use a little bit of spare time to serve the community (as little as one evening every 3 weeks)?

- Do you feel Haddenham needs a wider range of housing?
- Finding it difficult to secure a home that meets your needs?
- Concerned about whether you’ll be able to afford your next move?
- Wishing there was more choice at different price points in the housing market?

We need your views!

Haddenham Parish Council is gathering views to understand local housing needs and explore whether a Community Land Trust could help.

A Community Land Trust is a community-led, not-for-profit organisation that provides homes for local people according to local needs, keeping them affordable in the long term.

Your input matters — the more responses we receive, the clearer the picture of what housing is needed and whether this approach is right for Haddenham.

This week is Local Council Clerk Week (8–12 June 2026)!

In Haddenham, a lot of the Parish Council’s day-to-day work happens behind the scenes. Supporting that is our Clerk, Sue, who has been in post since 2014: https://www.haddenham-bucks-pc.gov.uk/Parish_Council_Staff_24396.aspx

The Clerk’s role includes making sure council decisions are properly made, meetings run smoothly, and public money is managed in line with Haddenham's priorities. It’s also about supporting councillors and helping turn local ideas into deliverable projects: https://www.haddenham-bucks-pc.gov.uk/Parish_Projects_25583.aspx

Did you see Zimbl's ELECTRIC VAN HIRE that came to Haddenham for £8 an hour!

During 23–31 May, during half term week, one of the Haddenham electric hire cars was temporarily replaced with an electric van so that Zimbl could assess local demand. The van cost £8 per hour or £80 per day, the same price as other Zimbl cars!

Helping residents with:
- Tip runs
- Moving bulky items
- Collecting large purchases

Keep an eye out on our page or follow Zimbl to be kept up to date with other great opportunities.

NOTE: The regular Zimbl hire car is now back, ready for hire!

Haddenham is entering the Buckinghamshire Best Kept Village competition for 2026!

(2nd image taken by Haddenham resident, Mary)

The Buckinghamshire Best Kept Village Competition was founded in 1957 by Sir Francis Dashwood and the Local Councils’ Association. The Competition’s objective is to encourage villagers to work together as a community and make their areas more attractive for residents and visitors alike.

Due to the size of Haddenham’s population, we will be entering the Pushman Cup which is for rural populations of over 3000. Back in 2024 we scored 186/200, 2 points off first place, while achieving full marks in the community engagement section - highlighting the hard work of many around the village.

Haddenham will be judged on features including floral displays, community facilities, playing fields, shops, pubs, graveyards, and evidence of community engagement. The judges will be looking around the village anywhere within the months of June and July, so please help us keep Haddenham looking neat and tidy during these (sunny 🤞) months. Thank you.

YOUR VOICE NEEDED FOR MORE APPROPRIATE HOUSING:

- Struggling with housing in Haddenham?
- Priced out of staying local?
- Need a larger home but can’t find one you can afford?
- Trying to get on the property ladder?
- Looking to downsize but options are limited?

DOUBLE YELLOW LINES ON TIBBS ROAD

We have been corresponding with Buckinghamshire Council, and can confirm that a public consultation has launched on introducing new double yellow lines ('no waiting at any time') along Tibbs Road and its junction with Pegasus Way.

The consultation will close at 11:59pm on Wednesday 24th June 2026. Please respond here: https://yourvoicebucks.citizenspace.com/roads-parking/tibbs-road-haddenham-dyls/

Please see attached for details of where the double yellow lines are planning to be introduced. Note that the proposed double yellow lines are denoted by red boxes.

NOTE: In November 2021, a similar public consultation took place for the introduction of double yellow lines along Tibbs Road, with a Buckinghamshire Council decision to proceed being made in April 2023. However, under government legislation, a Traffic Regulation Order (the formal legal decision) must be made within two years of the proposals first being made public - agreement from the developer to install the restrictions was only made in December 2025. Therefore, a new consultation is required to be undertaken.
