PUBLIC CONSULTATION – Proposed Parking & Loading Restrictions in Ash
Kent County Council and Dover District Council have issued updated statutory notices proposing changes to parking and loading restrictions across the district. Several of these directly affect Ash.
Residents are invited to submit comments in support or objection by 12 noon on Friday 11 September 2026.
What’s proposed for Ash (On Street Order Amendment No.7)
📍 The Street
- No loading between 8.30am–5.30pm, Monday–Saturday
Applied for 39.2 metres across the frontages of Nos. 37–35–2, added to the existing single yellow lines.
- No loading at any time
Added to the existing double yellow lines.
- New Loading Only Bay
Entire frontage of No. 20
📍 Chequer Lane
- No loading at any time
Added to the existing double yellow lines across the frontage of the Chequer Inn (32.6 metres).
Off Street Car Parks (DDC Amendment No.5)
For The Street and Queens Road car parks:
- 4 hour maximum stay
- No return within 2 hours
- Applies Monday–Saturday, 8.30am–5.30pm
